Hello ! My name is Madison Walsh, and I am a (mostly) self-taught artist and immigrant from the United Kingdom, now living in Athens, OH. I specialize in graphic design and character art, and I consider myself quite adept and versatile.I migrated to the United States at a young age, and have always shown proficiency and promise in the visual arts. During my primary years, I would enter local art contests through my schools, and continued with it throughout high school.In those high school years, I took three years of Commercial Arts and Design classes at Nature Coast Technical High School, a well-rounded school for creatives in Florida. I excelled, and was certified in three Adobe programs: Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. I consider myself incredibly fluent with Adobe Illustrator, and continue to use it today for things such as poster design, business cards, and project planning and overview. i also enjoy creating colour palettes for digital art and design on my free time.
Outside of an academic setting, I offer my services online and in person as a freelance amateur character designer and environment artist. I also taught myself how to digitally vector art and images inside of Adobe Illustrator, and how to convert those files into machine-ready embroidery files using programs such as Hatch Embroidery 3.As an individual, I consider myself very much of a people person. I have been told that I am incredibly amicable, and I enjoy helping others a great amount. I am fluent in English and able to hold a decent conversation in the Polish language, and I love sharing my knowledge of anything with anyone.Before I committed to art as my future, I planned on attending university to begin my path as a anthropologist, having always had a love for humans and our complex history. However, despite never having attended university for it in the end, human history and mythos is something that I am very knowledgeable and passionate about, and I often find ways to incorporate my love of both into my art and my writing.by supporting me, you'll be supporting a self-made immigrant artist who just wants to see the world while she can :o)

As a digital artist, i like to explore different textures and colour themes. my art style ranges anywhere from semi-realism to heavily stylized, and i enjoy bringing vibrant warm tones and lights into my digital art.i most enjoy working anywhere where character design is involved. whether it be with pre-existing or original characters, i love breaking down what makes a character into who they are and reflecting said traits in the artwork. i am only recently dipping my toes into the sphere of animation, but i am eager to learn and better my abilities.

to the left is an assortment of digital work that showcases my ability as a commercial designer. This ability includes card design, logo design, and concept design. I am also able to convert art into vectors, and convert vectors into embroidery files.all of my artwork is done within either adobe illustrator or procreate. i use hatch embroidery 3 to digitize and export my designs. however, i am still learning to navigate the world of digital embroidery.i work best with creatives who can communicate their preferences and provide constructive feedback to further improve a design or concept. visual aids or sketches are best, however i am able to work off of concepts and ideas with the right communication.
